The Rev. Dr. John Fritz of Houston, Texas has arrived in Wittenberg to serve from 2-15 May as the initial pastor for this tenth year of the Wittenberg English Ministry. Pastor Fritz will conduct the Saturday evening English worship services at the Schlosskirche and Stadtkirche, as well as the midweek Devotional services in the Corpus Christi Kapelle. Throughout his career as a pastor, Dr. Fritz has served the Church in various positions. He has been a pastor to congregations in the states of North Dakota and Texas. He has been a professor at Concordia Seminary, Springfield, IL. He is a past President of the North Dakota District of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod and has served on numerous boards of the LCMS. In 1999 and 2000 Dr. Fritz lived in St. Petersburg, Russia where he was Professor of Practical Theology and Doctrinal Theology at the German Lutheran Seminary and the Ingrian Lutheran Seminary.
